Updated product application guides and forms for water heating products

The commission has integrated the application process for residential/business and commercial and industrial heat pumps and solar hot water heater products across the Victorian Energy Upgrades program and New South Wales’ Energy Savings Scheme. This work was done in conjunction with the New South Wales’ Independent Pricing and Regulatory Tribunal.

With the commencement of these water heating activities in the Energy Savings Scheme today, we have released updated product application guides and forms to reflect this integrated process.

For commercial and industrial heat pump water heater product applications:

• Commercial and industrial air source heat pump water heater product application guide.
• Commercial and industrial heat pump water heater product application form.
• Commercial and industrial heat pump water heater specifications sheet.

For residential and business heat pumps and solar hot water heater product applications:

• Water heating and space heating/cooling product application guide.
• Heat pump water heater product application form.
• Electric boosted solar water heater product application form.
• Gas or LPG boosted solar water heater product application form.

All above guides and documents are available for download at the product applicants page. 

Applicants are now able to submit product applications through the VEU registry for use of these products under the Victorian Energy Upgrades program and New South Wales’ Energy Savings Scheme. We recommend stakeholders review the updated guides and forms before submitting applications for these products.

Updated activity guide for commercial and industrial heat pump water heater activity

We have also released an updated activity guide for the commercial and industrial heat pump water heater activity to fix an error in the calculation equation for activity scenario 44A in appendix A of the guide.  The update does not affect the certificates to be awarded for the activity as it was only an error made in the guide.  The certificates awarded for creation claims in the VEU registry reflects the certificate calculation equation set out in the VEU Specifications for the activity.
