Updates to requirements for lighting product approvals under product category 21, 27, 34 and 35
We have reduced requirements for product applications under building-based lighting upgrade where the product has already been approved either under public lighting upgrade or non-building-based lighting upgrade.
Other changes have been made to the lighting product application guide to reflect updated requirements under lighting standards LM80-15 and TM21-19 test reports.
All lighting product applicants should review the updated LM80-15 and TM21-19 reporting requirements which comes into effect on 31 October 2020. We continue to accept reporting based on LM80-08 and TM21-11 until 31 October 2020.
Updated lighting product application requirements
We have updated the lighting product application guide with the following changes. These changes have an impact on all product applications intending to submit applications under incandescent lighting (Product category 21), building based lighting upgrade (Product category 34), public lighting upgrades (Product category 27- ESC approved) and non-building-based lighting upgrades (35).

Transition Period
The updated reporting requirements based on the new IES LM80-15 and IES TM21-19 standards come into effect on 31 October 2020. We will continue to accept reports based on IES LM80-08 and IES TM21-11 up until and including 31 October 2020.
