Overview
We will be releasing updates to the VEU Registry and our guidance documents to reflect changes to the program rules commencing on 10 June 2019.
We will also be releasing changes to VEEC creation forms for specific activities under the program.
All program participants should prepare for these program changes commencing on 10 June 2019.
Regulatory changes commencing in June 2019
We will be releasing a number of changes to the VEU Registry and our guidance documents as a result of:
- the start of new regulation provisions under the Victorian Energy Efficiency Target Regulations 2018 commencing on 10 June 2019
- amendments to VEEC creation forms to better facilitate APs claiming multiple products at a single premises.

Updated program documents
Updated guidance documents, including activity guides and product application guides, will be available on the commission website from 8 am, 10 June 2019 (www.esc.vic.gov.au/veu).
Other program changes: VEEC creation forms and VEU Registry
We will make a number of changes to VEEC creation forms. These new forms must be used for certificate creation claims for installations undertaken from 10 June 2019.
Change to allow claiming of multiple products in some VEEC creation forms
We will update VEEC creation forms to allow multiple products to be claimed under the one activity for:
- water heating activities (activities 1A, 1B, 1C, 1D, 1F and, 3B)
- space heating activities (activities, 5, 7, 9, and 10)
- refrigerated display cabinet activity (activity 32).
Change to activity 21A creation form fields
We will implement the following changes to the fields for activity 21A.
Change 'Number of eligible sockets' field to 'Number of 21A sockets'
We made this change to clarify that this field is only intended to capture the total number of 21A socket environments at the premises.
Addition of audit fields
The following three mandatory fields will be added to audit details for 21A activities for accredited persons to complete:
- Was this activity audited?
- Date of audit
- Type of audit conducted (Phone/Field)

VEU Registry outage and changes
To implement the above changes, the VEU Registry will not be available on Sunday, 9th June from 1-4 pm.
