I'm a Senior Licensing and Regulatory Advisor in the Energy team at the commission.
I have extensive experience in the energy industry. I actually used to work at Shell as an industrial chemist so I've seen both sides. I was drawn to this role because I know that people can feel powerless or even frightened when they're confronted with a higher-than-expected energy bill or a surprise debt. I'm very passionate about the welfare of Victorian consumers.
I love working at the commission because you can create real change here. You work on major projects that actually help Victorian consumers. You can have as much responsibility as you like and despite the importance of the work - maybe because of it - you're never weighed down by too much bureaucracy. I know that I can knock on the door of one of the commissioners and bring an idea to them.
If I'm not working, there's a good chance I'm tending my garden. It's teeming with bulbs, ferns, bromeliads, geraniums and bougainvillaeas. If I'm not at home or at the office, I'm probably at the 'G, cheering on the Tiges!'
