‘I love sport. Crossfit and Ironman events speak to me. The preparation for an Ironman event is beyond intense: 20+ hours of training per week. Months, even years of 5 am starts. But once you get to that start line ... wow. Feeling fit and ready, with all the hard yards done, lining up with all the other die-hard athletes: it's indescribable.
‘Being able to fit training in around work, or travel to sporting events, is achievable thanks to the support of the commission. We've had strong representation by the commission at some great extra-curricular events – the team relay run was a good opportunity to see some real athletic talent here! We've had commission teams in a corporate triathlon, and while I was busy training for another event, our touch football team smashed the corporate games!
‘Working on the energy audit program for 2016-17 gave me fantastic insight into how energy retailers and distributors interact with consumers. I'm proud of the work we do, and I'm really looking forward to seeing what the next 12 months brings for the commission. Bring on 2018!’
