Apply for a VEET scheme registry account to hold, transfer and surrender energy efficiency certificates under the Victorian Energy Upgrades (VEU) program.
VEET scheme registry accounts
From 1 November 2023, people who hold, transfer and surrender VEECs will first be required to obtain a VEET Scheme Registry Account. This includes accredited persons, relevant entities and other parties that hold or transfer VEECs (e.g. traders).
However, if you were holding VEECs on 1 November 2023, you have one year to obtain your registry account. We will support this process.
To apply, you will need to provide information about you or the organisation seeking the account, and a declaration and supporting details that you are a ‘fit and proper person’ to hold a registry account.
How to apply for a VEET scheme registry account
Accredited persons
Accredited persons must apply for a VEEC scheme registry account between 1 November 2023 and 1 November 2024. The application for a registry account should completed as part of or after your accreditation or renewal of accreditation application.
Accredited persons can do this by:
Option 1: selecting the option to apply for a VEET scheme registry account in their renewal application form.
or
Option 2: completing the following steps following the approval of their accreditation renewal application, to:
- login to your VEU account:
- click on “New Accreditation" and select “application for VEET scheme registry account”
- review and complete the “fit and proper person” declaration.
Your accreditation status will be verified and you will be notified of the outcome of your application. Given you are already assessed against ‘fit and proper’ criteria as part of your accreditation application this is a streamlined process and there will be no fee.
